. Really need to change oil.2007 Jeep Liberty.?
I have 1500 mi on my oil/filter. one year since changed. Have not drove since 08/15. Level is up and oil clean. Had running a total of maybe 6hr to operating temperature anyway. Really need to change.

Recommended, yes. Really necessary, no.
Oil itself never really "wears out". The additives in the oil do.
Those same additives will start to deteriorate and the standing oil can also be contaminated by the moisture in the air that has been sitting in the block.
