Want to buy a car that is titled in the last buyers name? ASAP?

So I found guy that is selling his old mustang but he bought it as a project and never finished it, when he bought it the guy gave him the title but the current owner never signed it in his name? What do I do what I go to buy it? REALLY NEED HELP ASAP

    DO NOY BUY THIS CAR> The person selling the car is not the legal owner.

    The title defines legal ownership. If the title is not in the sellers name the sale is illegal. He doesn't own the car and he cannot sell it.

    Don't buy it unless the seller has the vehicle titled in HIS name. You may never be able to title and register the vehicle if the title has been jumped.

    The person who currently has possession of the vehicle is not considered the legal owner. Don't give them a dime until they transfer title into their name. Otherwise you will never be able to transfer title into your name yourself.

    Tell him that it is a deal after he titles it in his name for a legal sell. Until then it is a no go. Skipping title is illegal.

    I ran in to that once, I had to actually track down that guy & have him sign it
