Question about the transmission of parvo?

I'm planning on going to a get together tonight. Two friends of mine who are coming, who will undoubtedly hug me whether or not I'm expecting it, have a puppy who just survived parvo. They don't live at the house I'm going to and the puppy will not be there, but could I still get germs on me from them and carry them home? I have a dog is a fully vaccinated adult and thus cannot (or is very unlikely to) get parvo. However, I know that it's possible that she can get it in her system and transmit it through her feces to other dogs, and we have neighbors with a puppy. My question is: what are the chances that I bring home and give my dog the virus? I don't want to think of her giving the puppy parvo if it touches her feces. Am I being a responsible person if I go?

Its a very low theoretical risk. Hopefully your friends know know to clean their house, carpets and shoes. IDK how well you iknow them but I'd come right out and ask about it. they should wear freshly laundered clothes and clean shoes (the soles, not the tops!) before going out.

As long as they do that the risk is no higher that with anyone else.

The other dog is more in danger with you going there, since that dog is immunocompromised. Your dog probably already carries who knows what.
