GSD puppy ate sand?

My 7 weeks old GSD puppy ate sand. While he was eating i stopped him. But even in that time some little amount of sand had been swallowed.

What are the symptoms if the sand cause any kind of damage to my dog & usually how long does it take to appear those symptoms ?

    Should have been constantly supervising and not allowed this poor behavior.

    Call you vet for advice asap, depending on the amount consumed it may need emergency surgery to save it's life to relieve an intestinal blockage.

    A little bit of sand will do no harm.

    My dogs do the same thing, except they eat caleche (clay) mud. dogs do this cause they are not getting the minerals from their dog food &/or vitamins.

    If he ate it he will be OK maybe his poo will be drier but that is all
