Transmission problem 0n a 2005 equinox. Stalled out while driving. Any thoughts?

Update:

Transmission shop wants rebuild, Only 65000 miles.

Update 2:

I put in drive , Ran down the road for a few min. then nothing. Revved engine and nothing. No drive or reverse.

Stalling is a motor problem not a transmission problem.
