i own it on dvd i have watched it my son has not watched it but wen i am in the car i put the CD on and the smile on his face he enjoys the music i would not let him watch sweeney todd demon barber or fleet street though. he has watched into the woods and has enjoyed that last week. so i just want to see some opinions. before i make the decision before i sit him down in a few minutes to let him decide on the dvd to choose.

The movie would not be suitable for him, but as he's only three he probably won't understand the inappropriate parts, and thus they won't scare him or expose him to anything bad. It's impossible to answer accurately without knowing him personally; you've seen the movie, so you should decide if you feel comfortable showing those scenes to your son.

It's a little loaded, but the thing with kids is, as long as they can talk to you about things, and have a grounded-perspective to add to what they see, they're usually pretty good with things.
Remember before Disney mangled them, most Fairy-Tales were pretty grimm, and gruesome, and most kids have been reading them from a very young age.

I don't know what you decided, but if you could read, you'd see that the movie is rated PG-13. Not really appropriate for a pre-schooler.

I've seen the movie and after reading the Parents Guide on IMDb, I say, No!".
