    My mother and I both work in the field of child care (though she runs a day care from her home, while I work in a larger centre)

    No. My father was a government worker, while my mother worked in the hospitality industry. I worked in the financial services industry

    No: My mom has had various careers in banking, retail, and store management. My dad is a former chemical engineer who now works as a building contractor/supervisor.

    Nope. I'm a graphic designer. My dad worked in a furniture factory and my mom was mostly a stay-at-home mom.
