Been on antipsychotics for three months. Feel like I've lost some cognitive functions?

Namely I feel like I've lost my creativity, my intellect, my imagination, my ability to think deep or even get deep emotionally. I feel like a blank slate. I was on Seroquel for about two months and Ability I was on for like several weeks to a month? I'm trying to write a paper for a speech right now for my Final Project in Theatre Appreciation and I'm really not so sure I can do it. Is it possible by raising the levels of some neurotransmitters, others have been significantly decreased. I need help! What do I do exactly?

Update:

Just a few extra facts, I took them cause I had a manic episode through an online program that, believe or not, felt like brainwash. I'm also not on the meds anymore because they caused more problems than they solved.

I know how you feel, I've been on a dozen different antipsychotics and they all had the same effect on me, I felt numb, my thinking was slow and I had no emotions. I felt like a zombie on them. It might be worth discussing changing meds with your psychiatrist, as finding a drug that manages your symptoms without having such a negative effect can take time and patience.

However, if you are taking them for schizophrenia or similar disorder, there is also the chance that the problem you are having is the 'negative symptoms' of psychosis. It can be difficult to ascertain whether this apathetic state is caused by the illness or the medication, so I would advise you to bring this up at your next appt.

I do feel for you, it's a horrible way to feel. I hope you can find some relief from this awful state. Good luck.
