What do you thing was before the big bang (for god created the start) or for you non-atheist what was before god created the universe?

Science explains the big bang was not from nothing but from a singularity that was all the matter and energy in the universe compressed into a single point that then expanded rapidly!

So it was always here!

But why are Christians always claiming the big bang came from nothing? Are they that ignorant? Did they sleep through school or is it that they know the truth but think they can twist it because everyone is gullible?!

Claiming something cannot come from nothing argues not against the big bang but against creationists claims!

Recent research suggests the universe has contracted into a singularity and then expanded a number of times!

Atheism is the lack of belief in Gods because of no evidence.

Evolution is a fact

These two are not mutually exclusive

I am Hindu. And accept the big bang theory because it is supported by facts. I accept evolution because it is supported by facts.

You can choose to not accept scientific facts, but don't complain about being made fun of.

Generally speaking, for either the theist or the atheist, the contention is that there was nothing before the big bang (or creation). So, I repeat, there was nothing whether you think that some supernatural being did if or whether it began with a singularity that expanded.

Nothing.

God can do anything. Read the Bible, it say's before anything there was the Word and God was the Word. Another name for the Word of God (God Himself) is the Lord Jesus Christ. If you want to be saved that's a good place to start, it's at the beginning, i.e. Genesis. Maybe try visiting a local Catholic Church for some more understanding from the Source of all thing's. If you think I'm joking go see for yourself...

"Before" means "earlier in time", which is meaningless if time began with the Big Bang.

Imagine there's a road which starts in Chicago and ends in Los Angeles. If I were to ask you "What's on the road before Chicago?" what would you reply?

"Before" the Big Bang there was /nothing/.

No matter/energy; no space/time; no dimensions; no forces.

As time began with the Big Bang, to ask what was before it (in terms of temporal existence) is meaningless.

God exists transcendent of temporal existence and caused the universe to exist.

eternity exists beyond the beginning of the universe
