Canada ETA question?

so, travelers who don't need visa travel with eta. for eta activation you need to give your credit card number. my question is, do you need to have strictly canadian dollars on credit card, or you can have currency of your country ?

    You can have a credit card of your country; the fee of CAD $ 7.00 will be converted accordingly.

    Accepted cards are:

    Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, or

    a pre-paid Visa®, MasterCard® or American Express®,
