    I wasn't a huge fan, but I can appreciate that he could play a mean guitar. It stinks when anybody dies.

    I thought he was awesome. I've always been into funk type stuff, Prince, The Time, Dazz Band, etc. But until I saw Prince live, I had no idea what an awesome guitar player he was. Holly crap that guy could shred. And athletic as hell. When I saw him in Roanoke VA he did a vertical jump from the stage to the top of a grand piano wearing 6 inch platform shoes that most couldn't even walk in. And, he did this in the middle of a killer lead break without missing a lick. The guy was a badass.
