Building a house. What is the maximum distance between junction boxes for underground cable (220V) From the street to the house. I read that the trench must be 2 feet deep and 4 inches wide. But is there a maximum length?

IF you are actually building a house, you must clear the connection both with code enforcement and your electric supplier - the NEC is the basic standard but conditions vary and may vary within a jurisdiction depending on ground conditions. Here in Dallas there is white rock (gypsum) in many cases less than 2 feet down.
