Is the newest most expensive arena in the NHL going to get the Oilers out of last place?

Not only is it not going to be the newest, it isn't even close to being the most expensive. That will be the Detroit Events Center, the Red Wings new home which will open a bit after the Oilers new arena. It is going to be bigger and will hold more people. I doubt it will help the Wings anymore than the new arena in Edmonton will help the Oilers. I lay the blame on management.

Having a competent management team running things will, but a new arena isn't going to make a bad team good.
