Why are videos now being played after I empty spam or trash folders? They've caused my internet to crash on more than one occasion!?

Your video codecs used to render and play the video(s) load the Spam folders content into Trash one so you'll be able to view it. Delete or empty this folders will only cause problems like the one you already encounter. Please DO NOT empty/delete them in the future.

Maybe when you opened one of the videos it gave your computer a virus. I'm not sure though.
