Deadbolt Installation in Hollow Steel Door?

I bought a standard deadbolt lock to install in my exterior steel clad door (edges also are metal). On drilling pilot holes for the deadbolt I find that there is NO WOOD in the center of the door. How should I proceed?

Update:

Sorry, I meant no wood in the entire interior of the door. Totally hollow except for insulation.

you do nto need wood in the middle.

Just drill the two holes in the door and a hole from the edge and install the dead bolt as usual...
