Dad says he will do something but never will?

Hi! This has been a problem all my life but right now it's really starting to bother me. About last week, I was about to log into my Netflix account but I must have forgot the password. Since my dad is the holder of the Netflix account I asked him what the password was and he said he didn't know. So I told him that he has a confirmation email for the account to change the password, so he has to go into his email account to change the password. Then he says, I'll do it later. 5 hours later I ask him and he says "Oh, it uses too much data on your phone to watch Netflix" and I said, then I'll watch it on my laptop, then he makes up another excuse saying "Oh it won't work my credit card stopped working" meanwhile he went shopping later that day? Please help!
