How to say 'I look forward to meeting you' in French? (letter to a host family)?
I've looked online and come across many options, such as:
Au plaisir de vous rencontrer
Je suis impatient de vous rencontrer
Dans l'attente de vous rencontrer
However I'm not too sure which will be more suitable in the context of sending a letter to my future host family. I have never met them, so I don't want to use something too informal, but at the same time I don't know if it would look odd to use a really formal expression...

"Je suis impatient(e) de vous rencontrer" is the best.
The language is quite neutral, not particularly formal nor informal. The extra E in the end of impatient(e) is if you are a girl.
You can also say "J'ai hâte de vous rencontrer" in which you don't have to worry with the gender.
The other two are correct but maybe a little too formal, as if you were trying to get a job or something like this. Especially the third one which is what you write in the end of a preformated formal letter.
