Not invited to birthday party?
My son and his wife invited her parents and brother to their house for a meal as it was her fathers birthday. My husband, my son's father died a few months ago and I am now on my own. Am I wrong for being upset that I wasn't invited or am I upset because I am still grieving the death of my husband.

You are feeling lonely and would like to have been invited. They thought it would upset you to be invited since your husband's death was recent. You would be reminded that he will have no more birthday parties and everyone would have felt too awkward to have the party knowing how you were hurting.
Few people know how to handle parties and a new widow. They meant no harm.
