Why did the NHL do the 2016 Draft Lottery in secret and not on tv but just show us the results on tv?

    You can watch the actual drawing of the numbers; the video is on Sportsnet. And people did care- the viewing audiences were as big as they've had all playoffs (at least for Sportsnet). The problem is that determining the order takes time and people aren't watching that. I'm enjoying BUF and MTL fans and their mittenstringers getting salty and crying "conspiracy".

    It's a bunch of accounting work. It's not just a bunch of team logo ping pong balls. It's not suited for TV.
