Why would someone wish they were dead?

They might have a mom who hits and tells them they wish they never had them constantly, who they always have to give money to from their crappy job that they hate. And then they have to go to school where no one acknowledge their existences and even when they try to be social no one wants to talk with them and they end up screwing up everything til the point they hate themselves. And then they have a past of constantly being bullied that they haven't been able to overcome and they still have anxiety attacks because of it, so they keep hoping things will get better, but nothing seems to get better.

Not talking about anyone in pacific.

Someone would wish they were dead because they are unhappy with life.

Depression.

50s-60s, lost job, have lots to debt, wife has no income. ponder over the good old days when you felt successful with your meager job and your kids were a success as well. now your kids have nothing going for them accept proposed business plans and the only way out is death.

Extreme depression

Because sometimes life just seems to be pain and agony- or the nervous anticipation of those things.

They weren't brought up right to handle adversity.

They have a chemical imbalance in their brain.

They must feel very very miserable to say that

They can't get laid
