Car making screeching/squealing noise?
It s a 2012 Chevy Sonic 4 door. Well it recently just started and it only happens when I am driving. When it first started it scared me so I pulled over and tried take made the same noise so I stopped and put in park and got out and turned my wheel to the right and to the left and I heard like a rock sound fall out and after I took off it quit and maybe a week later it started again. I looked on google and all they said my bolts might be loose or might need new rotors and brake pads but when I step on the brakes. I know how my brakes sound when they are starting to wear down and when I start to slow down I hear nothing it seems after I slam on it quits but after a mile or so it comes back. I noticed when I going over 75 and slam on my car shakes. So could it possibly be my rotors touching the brakes or whatever? Sorry if I made this a bit confusing or a lot. I couldn t word anything my laptop is slow and is making me frustrated.
P.S its only in my drivers side tire. I haven't had any complaints from my passengers of this sitaution on the passenger side.
Also sorry for not proof reading everything I noticed I made mistakes in this. Sorry

Normally the high pitched squealing is one of your v-belts slipping. Have someone check the tension on your fan belts and the condition of the fan belts. I'm assuming the squealing is occurring at times you are not putting on the brakes. If you're going over 75 and slam on the breaks, the shaking of the car is probably the slipping of your antilock breaks. The slipping is normal.

It sounds to me like its dry and rusty. Imagine a door hinge squealing when it needs oil. Bring it to the car dealer ship and have them fix it up for you. Shouldn't be too extremely expensive. And yeah it could be that something is lose or not working right which is why it's smart to bring it to the dealer so you are safe. No need for injuring yourself and others. Stay safe my friend.
