I have a betta fish and a bubbler?
i have a bubbler, and i always kept it on because my betta fish (Oscar) enjoys playing around with it. but since its in my room, I turn it off at night because it makes lots of noise. one morning I woke up to see that Oscar has built a bubble nest. now when I turn on the bubbler it destroys his bubble nest. And sadly he lives in a 2.5 because I can't fit a 5 in my room. My question is will Oscar get upset if the bubbler stays on and destroy's his bubble nest? and does the bubbler reduce the amount of trips he has to take to the surface to breathe?

He won't get upset, but he might get frustrated after constantly having to remake bubble nests.
The thing is, bettas don't really need any kind of bubbler or airstone. As long as they have a bit of space for air at the top, they are getting as much oxygen as they need. I recommend removing the bubbler.
