Bicycling Mississippi river trail bike maps? from Memphis TN to Red Wing MN then to Madison WI have route but lack details of River Trail?
Looking for local knowledge of the MR trail system or even good routes off the MR trail system. Google has failed to yield detailed results. leg 1 Memphis to Reelfoot Lake TN leg 2 to Cape Girardeau leg 3 to St Louis leg four to Hannibal MO leg 5 to Burlington IA leg six to Camanche IA leg 7 to Cassville WI leg to Red Wing MN then to Madison any help would be appreciated

Check www.adventurecycling.org about the Mississippi River route they researched. You may have to take a side trip or two to get to points you want to go but they tried to map the most bike friendly route they could find. From Red Wing to Madison, you should probably check local sources like bike clubs or maybe Wisconsin's tourism bureau has biking info. There is a nice rail trail that could be used for part of that route (Elroy to Sparta, WI I think). It is hilly country but scenic and there are plenty of lightly traveled back roads for options.
