Question about beyond UV eyeglasses.?

I posted a question a while back about not wearing my glasses while on a computer at work. Lately I've started wearing them more at work as I feel it is helping with eye strain. I have seen new beyond UV glasses which are said to be good for working on a computer and a mobile device. My prescription is somewhat minor (-1 R and -1.75L with some cylinder in the left and add +2.50) so will getting a pair of these somewhat pricey glasses help. If it matters I had Lasik in 2000 which has regressed to this point. I'm not interested in a touchup at this time. I would really like to hear from experts in the filed.

They are available under many different names. I had to Google beyond UV to see what those ones are. That is what Zenni optical calls them.

They are simply blue blockers. They block the blue rays from electronics, which is invisible to the eyes but over a long time affects the retina , much like regular UV rays are already known for.

You wouldn't notice any difference. They have nothing to do with the comfort level of working on electronic devices all day. They just protect from invisible rays that do damage over a 20-30 year period.

They have nothing to do with eyestrain protection.

I sit behind a computer 8+ hours a day for work for the same company for 15 years now. If you're experiencing eye strain regardless of a prescription strength you should see your optometrist-for two reasons. One to make sure your prescription has not changed and two to also to obtain "rose tented glasses". Nope, not joking. Rose tented glasses are a must if you're behind a computer all day. They reduce eye strain, glare, and headaches from sitting at a computer for extented amounts of time.

Hope that helps and good luck. ☺😊☺

I have a cheap pair of non-prescription blue blockers from a different brand. I have noticed a huge positive difference. Good luck!
