Has Sears decision to make Craftsman Tools in China done more hurt than good for them?

I used to buy tools there all the time. When they were USA made. I would buy other stuff like jeans etc. And their appliance dept is still OK. But the main reason I shopped there of course was for the USA made tools. Has anyone else done or fell the same about this. Why pay top dollar for Harbor Freight quility

Craftsman tools made in China has seriously hurt Sears. Craftsman used to be the "go to" tool if you wanted quality and reliability. Even the Pros used Craftsman. Not any more. I still have a number of my dad's old Crafsman tools, from hammers to electric saws to drills (some even from the 1960s), and they keep outlasting and out performing anything made in the past 10-20 years.

The U.S.A. steel is a lot better than China's.

That means the China made tools are not made as good as they were.

Sears is closing up some of their stores. And K Marts.
