Star Spangled Banner?

Why do you think the other 3 verses of our national anthem are never sung? Do you think it is because of a 'time crunch' or something?

    We learned all four verses when I was in grade school. But people forget the words as it is. The SSB was set to the tune of To Anachreon in Heaven, a DRINKING song. I was never meant to be attempted cold sober!

    It's because the second verse mentions that fact that millions of Americans were slaves in the so-called "land of the free."
