Should I use the no poo method?
I tried it once but I think I felt like my hair was getting less on my front. So I stopped, but I don't know if that's just the transition period or not. Isn't just washing your hair with water still going to make your hair as dry and rhythm-less as shampoo. For what kind of hair is the no-poo method intended for, I have Curly dry hair. My hair usually gets really dry and ugly when I come out the shower, it kinda looks like metal wires are sticking out. It just look like a dehydrated plant, how long does it take for the no-poo method to take effect? Thank you all in advance.

It is supposedly meant for oily hair since the hypothesis is that more frequent shampooing causes increased sebum(hair oil) production. No, don't use it; frequency of washing hair has no relationship to sebum(hair oil) production; this hypothesis was shown to be false more than half a century ago.

The reason a young person's sebaceous glands are overactive is due to a change in hormone production during the teen years; many teens have this condition. The way to address it is to wash the hair more frequently. This usually only lasts to the late teens or early twenties.

I also have very thick naturally curly hair. I have tried the no poo (shampooless shampoo) and I do like it. The trick to using no poo is to use the hair care system of conditioning and leave in conditioner that goes with the no poo brand.
Either that or use a deep conditioner once a week, like hot oil V-O5 or other moisturizing conditioners. I also love styling moose that does not have too firm a hold so my curls do not look at all wet or stiff. Washing your hair strips out the natural oils, so you have to add a styling product to keep your hair moisturized and tame. I love the 3 Minute Miracle and all Aussie styling products.
