Why do you think the time in years are given in the bible?

Authenticity reasons; to prove that those people truly did exist and for information purposes.

For hundreds of years evolutionists lied and said one race more ape like than others! Genetics showed bible correct again and evolution destroyed again! Adam and Eve happened as written! Jesus loves you. Read Romans chapter 5 and 8 and 10. Read John chapter 1 and 3. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 1 and 15.

hiwever in soeaking in terms of creation, the earth is said to be creted according to the time and reckoning of the the lords time, which peter defined as a thousand years to man as one day to the lord, but of course there is an angle of perspective as to whether our 365 day year us the same as what was written in hebrew because of translation, then again there is much evidence that men of faith always had a 365 day calender,

To add to the authenticity of the Bible. When time is introduced, historical methods can be used to verify accounts.

The bible is nothing more than ancient superstition, don't try to make sense out of it.
