Does listening to a song in another language while you sleep help you learn that language?

I've herd stores of people learning languages quickly by listening to songs or poems in the language they're trying to learn, while they sleep. Is this real or just more internet BS?

    BS.

Listen to then while you are CONSCIOUS. Even better, dowload the lyrics for the songs, then translate them to your language. You learn lots about language that way.

There are no free rides in learning language, no magic tricks, just working at it

Source(s): translated songs as one way to help me learn Spanish.

This idea started years ago. It was called "sleep learning" and covered all subjects. Its popularity finally died out, so it has not been mentioned for a long time, so I guess it did not work.
