Do I say "thank you"?

So there was this drama performance that took place yesterday. I was involved backstage, changing the set and things like that. I wasn t an actor.

But after the show, when I talk to people, they d be like "that was one of the greatest performances I ve watched"; should I say "thank you"? Or should I say "I know. The cast did an amazing job."

Does "thank you" sound weird? because I m not an actor? and i didn t really make the show great?

They say there are no small parts in acting so saying thank you wouldn't be out of turn. But, if it makes you uncomfortable, say " I know didn't they do good?" that way you are talking about the others and don't seem like an attention hog. Good luck!

Personal choice really, but if they say "amazing performance" then assume they are talking about the actors, although they may just be phrasing it that way and mean the whole production. If they say "amazing production" then I think you should feel proud and respond with thank you or some such.

Your contribution was just as important as the actors on stage so say " thank you" as you did your bit too.

If they say great show say thanks, if they say great performance or great actors say the cast did an amazing job. It doesn't really matter but if they specify the actors, don't say thanks😂😉
