I sent a knife to my friend for repair. Hes 16. It s been a year. He went off the grid and has not come back. Is there anything I can do?

We talked before so I knew he was legitimate. He made a few thousand dollars from repairing and modding knives and he always got gooc feedback. Is there anything I can do legally? He s in another state. I tried contacting his mother to no avail.

He was never your friend- what he did was scam you for a knife.

You probably should just leave it alone, because trying to get legal help for having supplied a knife to a 16 year old probably wouldn't be a smart move on your part depending upon what it was, and you won't get it back anyway.

Learn who to trust, and don't deal with strangers on the internet.

He was not your friend. Instead he was someone who took advantage of you. You have two choices: consider this an expensive life lesson or send him a notice by certified mail saying that he has 30 days to return the knife to you or you will take him to small claims court. You can send the notice through his mother if you do not know his whereabouts. Keep in mind it would cost you money to take him to small claims court. You are best letting go of the entire situation and using it as a life lesson

Do you really want to make a big deal out of giving a knife to a sixteen year old? It's not worth it.

This "friend" robbed you of a knife. A real friend wouldn't do that.

    Just move on.

He was never legitimate. Legitimate people don't steal from you and then disappear off the face of the earth. He scammed you well and good.
