Do you think it is good practice to sell spiritual items in church?

Examples are anointing oil, anointing water, tickets, t-shirts, anointing sticker etc.

No it is horrible, if Jesus were here he would not approve of people profiting themselves at a place where worship should only go to God.

I know that God would not be very happy with that either....

There is no charge for a Sacramemt. A gift shop segregated from the worship area is recommended. A separate corporation for tax purposes would be a good idea, too. This will avoid UBIT.

No business is to be done in the church. The ONLY monies that are to come into the church are freewill offerings.

PS None of that stuff is Biblical anyway. Anointing oil? Anointing water?

If you peddle your wares in a Catholic church, be sure to add Dead Man on a Stick. It will sell like hotcakes.

Sacred or blessed items should not be sold or exchanged for donations.

T-shirts, raffle tickets, bake sale items - those are all okay.

"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,"--Matthew 21:12

"And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."--Matthew 21:13

"....Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."--Luke 2:15

This makes me thing that the church is a place of worship, not a market of goods.
