Can I buy from Amazon Uk if I'm in the USA?

So I want to buy one item for 40 pounds, And converting it to US dollars it would be $58, Besides shipping, Will it be more than $58? And can I even order from The uk Amazon if I'm the USA?

    you can but it is dumb. you will have very high shipping costs, plus customs fees .
