Fallout 4 companion affinity not working?

So I've been playing fallout and I'm about 2 1/2 days in on this build. I got through a decent bit of the Far Harbor DLC and noticed my companions weren't liking or disliking anything I was doing. I did specific actions I knew they liked (drugs for Hancock, stealing for maccready, etc) and got nothing. Another character I have works just fine and gets and loses affinity like normal. Any ideas?

I can confirm that in my game, I have Hancock as a follower and I took him to Far Harbor, and I've gotten lots of "Hancock liked that" or "Hancock disliked that" messages. I don't take drugs, so I don't know if that part is working, but when I'm having conversations with people, there are definitely some dialog options that Hancock likes or dislikes.

Have you tried taking your other character to Far Harbor and doing the same things with Hancock or MacCready? If one character is getting affinity messages and the other is not, under the EXACT same conditions (same conversations, same quests) then I don't know what to tell you - sounds bugged. Maybe leave Far Harbor and max their affinity on the mainland? MacCready can be fast-tracked by doing Whitechapel Charlie's quest in Goodneighbor, the Cleaner, and stealing everything inside the warehouses.
