Hair loss in only one spot?

I woke Up this morning ready to pull my hair up for work and be out the door. For whatever reason I felt The need to look to make sure the back looked okay. When I did so, I realized An entire section of my hair was TOTALLY gone.

I know Of hair loss with shampoos with high sulfate, but mine is entirely concentrated to only this one area. Could it still be caused by my shampoo If the rest of my hair is seeming normal?

No scalp sensitivity, no rash, no new hair products within the past month and a half. No medications, no pregnancy, no other health issues. Just a 22 year old bald patch of head that feels like I threw Nair on it.

I’m going to the doctor on Monday but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this. Thanks in advance!

  • Punishment for F4 DUI in Ohio?

I just wanted to see if anyone had personally dealt with this situation before, or one similar to this, and had any insight.

Almost two months ago my SO got a DUI- this particular one was his fourth overall (I believe) and second within a year. Last time (October 2016) he was charged and had to do a few weekends in some sort of “alternative jail” as he called it, had restrictions with his license (could only drive to and from work, I think) and has been on non-reporting probation.

I just want to sort of get an idea of what MAY happen with these charges? All I know is that this is a felony charge, but I wanted to know if anyone could provide me with any insight. Thank you in advance.

  • Feeling generally awful every day?

For as long as I can remember I ve been constantly tired, all day everyday, no matter what. I learned to more-or-less deal with it.

Recently, it s gotten much worse. On top of being exhausted daily (to the point of needing a nap 20 minutes after waking up), I ve had dull headaches every day for about a week, I feel slightly dizzy and almost "disembodied", my eyes won t want to focus, shaky, trouble typing, rapid heart rate (113 yesterday after no activity besides walking from one room to another), irritation more days than not. Alone I could handle each symptom but together they are starting to take their toll on both myself and my work.

I just don t know if someone has experienced this before and knows of any way to help, but I figured it was better than nothing to type out a paragraph asking. Thank you!

What breed does my dog look like?

I got my dog, Gus, at a local shelter about a year and a half ago. I never really could tell what kind of dog he was; all the shelter told me was some kind of terrier mix. I've gotten lots of opinions. Jack Russell, chihuahua, Yorkie, dachshund, rat etc. but nothing concrete.

He's about 15lbs (chunky), and stands maybe 10 inches tall, if I had to guess. He has a very large, barrel-y chest and a very small lower half. His front legs are short and noticeably bowed inward. His fur is wiry and long, and he hardly sheds. No undercoat really.

Thanks in advance for opinions 😊

  • Best job that allows for college and affording to live on your own?

So, I know this sounds like a high schooler's question, but there's some backstory. I am 21, and after being screwed out of college three separate times, I am determined to get re-enrolled for classes this August and finally complete my degree over the next two years.

Thing is, my parents are moving across the country so I need to be able to afford to live on my own. I need to make AT LEAST $1600 a month.

I keep telling my boyfriend that serving is my only option. It's flexible, is get tips and could pick up an extra random shift if I were ever short on money. He insists that there is too much drama in restaurants and that it will hurt our relationship.

So, to at least humor him, I'd like to hear what everyone says the best job for someone enrolling back in school, who also needs to afford living on their own would be. If you think it is serving, please say serving. If you have other suggestions, I would love to hear ideas. Thanks!

  • How to announce unplanned pregnancy?

Long story short, I m just over 4 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend and I have been talking and spending nearly every day together since New Year s, but because of some drama, didn t officially start dating until March 15th. 12 days later, I find out I m pregnant.

He s older than me (I m 20, he s 26) and has a good job and his own apartment. He was a bit unstable in his younger years but has settled down recently. He always talks about his future kids and shows me his friend s babies, but says he isn t ready to be a dad until he s 30.

Basically, I have no idea how he s going to react. I know I have to tell him, but there s constant stress with work that has been bothering him and I m not sure how to tell him.

Do I just say it? Do I do something cute? Act excited? Any advice is great

  • Very young kitten not growing as quickly, has diarrhea?

Hey so my friend found some young kittens after their momma was killed by her parents dog. They were very small, none had their eyes opened but all seemed ok.

One of them, she says, is about half the size of the rest and has been having diarrhea. She is concerned it isn't digesting the formula correctly but can't really afford to take him to the vet unless it's absolutely necessary.

So what could the problem be and what should she do if he's this small and having diarrhea?

  • Fallout 4 companion affinity not working?

So I've been playing fallout and I'm about 2 1/2 days in on this build. I got through a decent bit of the Far Harbor DLC and noticed my companions weren't liking or disliking anything I was doing. I did specific actions I knew they liked (drugs for Hancock, stealing for maccready, etc) and got nothing. Another character I have works just fine and gets and loses affinity like normal. Any ideas?

  • Push lawn mower won t start?

I have Lawn- Boy push mower, like the one linked below:

    http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lawn-Boy-21-in-High-Whe...

It was left in the rain twice, but has been used since then with no issues. I went to try to cut the grass today because it has been a while and it was fairly long and a little bit damp. Anyways, it would start and work for a few feet then turn off, and I d have to drag it back to the sidewalk to restart it because it wouldn t start in the grass. And this continued until after about 5 cycles, when it stopped turning on.

I cleaned out underneath it to the best of my ability to get rid of the clumps of wet grass but it won t start. It has gas and everything, but won t turn on.

Any ideas that I can try before either calling in someone else or getting a new one? Thanks

  • Need to re-paint small strip of my car?

I got a 2010 Chevy Cobalt for my birthday and it's in great condition, aside from a few dings that can be easily filled in with paint pens meant for scratches.

The only real concerning part is the small strip on the driver's side doors. It's only about an inch or so tall and stretches almost the entire length of the doors (I don't know if these have an actual name, I'm fairly clueless about cars).

Anyways, it's oxidized and I want to paint it, either the same red as my car or black. I don't care is it's a little off in color, but is this something I should really take to a professional?

It's just this one spot and i feel like it'd be easy to fix, and I don't want to break the bank or end up painting my entire door since it's raised about a half inch forward and isn't the door itself.

So would this be easy to do with some simple car paint and a brush/ sprayer with the rest of my door covered up? Or would i have to take it to someone

  • My furnace is running solely off of thermostat batteries?

Hi so I have Time Warner's Intelligent Home in my house. So the security system and thermostat are through them. When they installed it they put in a new thermostat that runs off of 4 AA batteries.

Basically, we noticed all of a sudden (about a month after having the system installed) that our batteries were dying every 1-2 weeks. So we would replace them every time and this continued from November or so until today. We had an employee of Time Warner come in and he told us:

The batteries are purely for backup. He told us they had been dying so quickly because our FURNACE was running entirely off of the 4 batteries in the thermostat.

So what could the issue be here? He said he didn't know what was wrong so we should get an HVAC specialist in to look at it but I wanted to see if anyone had experienced this before. Thank you.

  • How do I clean the green marks left by coins?

So, I left some pennies on my bathroom counter. We have a vanity with a sink and the entire thing is wood but was painted over a light beige color. Anyways, I cleaned up today and picked up the change and noticed that there are green outlines of the change left on the countertop and I cannot seem to get them off. Any advice?

  • How much did you have saved before first moving out?

I m 19 years old and currently work as a preschool teacher making about $10.50 an hour. I currently live at home with my parents, but they are planning to move to Arizona (we live in a small town in central Ohio). My boyfriend has a job and we are planning on moving in together sometime in the near future, but I was trying to figure out how much money I should have saved up before I move out. I currently have $2400 in savings and $70 in checking. Any extra advice on moving out would be much appreciated

  • Lasting chest and throat pain after crying?

Earlier today (about 7 hours ago) I had a huge family argument. I was crying for a while and, during that time, I felt as if I could not breathe and as if my chest was closing in around my heart and lungs. I couldn't catch my breath for maybe 4-5 minutes and now my chest (behind my sternum) through my upper throat hurt. It isn't a burning feeling, just like they are being compressed. It it worse whenever I inhale. Might this just be kind of like muscle strain or something else?
