Sort of hard to follow your train of thought and timeline here, but keep in mind that you are often being paid for a timecard from a week or two ago. This is because the company has to cut off the timecards at the end of one week, and then take the next week calculating all the taxes and other deductions, preparing the checks and direct deposits, etc. So there is often a two week lag between the end of a pay period and when the checks are issued. Typically you do not clock out on Friday and get your check on Monday for the prior week.
