As a vegan, is it your responsibility to go to Taco Bell and order vegan off the menu?

To encourage them and other restaurants to include vegan options. What about vegetarians? Do they need to support Burger King, Subway because they have veggie burgers. By the way, Taco Bellnow has a Vegetarian Certified Menu.

One of my vegan friends thinks so. but i am not sure.

no, but i do still eat at places that offer vegan options,

    Why?

Well why do you think they put it on the menu? To please the vegans and so that vegans can eat there!

Because think, if vegans didnt go to taco bell, chipotle, subway etc, They would probably stop selling the vegan items since they wouldnt be making a lot of money from them, so then if a non vegans went in o one of those there would be a 0% chance (vs a 5% chance i guess?) that they will choose a vegan item

so of course i try to go to 100% vegan restaurants when i can, but if im on the road and the only option for 30 miles is either mc donalds, taco bell or burger king. I would choose taco bell

No. It's not your responsibility as a vegetarian or vegan, to support every restaurant that offers vegetarian or vegan food on their menu. Eat at whatever restaurant suits your taste. If you like Taco Bell, then yes, stop by for lunch sometime and try out their new veggie options. If fast food, or Taco Bell in specific, are not your thing, then don't.

as a vegan its your responsibility to eat what ever you choose. if that includes taco bell, fine..if not so be it.

As a meat eater, I don't eat at taco bell either. I can safely say that in the past 50 years I can count on one hand how often I have eaten at ANY taco place.

As a vegan your best course of action is too stay away from fast food crap. Try to eat organic fruits and vegetables. Vegans try to eat clean and natural food unprocessed as much as possible. The reality is as well those bean and rice burritos are being made right beside the beef, bean and cheese. Make food at home so you know what your consuming.

It's certainly not your "responsibility" to order fast food. Fast food restaurants will do what is profitable, if a lot of people order vegetarian menu items, they will continue to provide them. I'm not a vegetarian, but I order vegetarian menu items all the time - especially from taco bell, their meat is disgusting.

I think if its your lifestyle choice and you want to eat a specific kind of food from a restaurant weather its fast food or dine in and they do not offer choices to your food choice then you have no other choice but to alter it to your needs so yes it kind of is your responsibility at that point. If they offer things altered to your lifestyle choice then that makes it easier for you because you have a variety to chose from that's already put together. Veganism is trending so its becoming easier and easier to find products or restaurants that offer things of that lifestyle choice showing their support its fairly something new and has been trending more so it takes time to make these changes in stores and restaurants.

No, you don't need to, haha. Though, contributing to it will likely show them that vegans are in need of vegan choices which may open more vegan choices in the future.

Well, the lettuce, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce are all vegetarian.

So long as the refried beans and flour tortillas don't contain lard, they're vegetarian.

I think the corn tortillas are friend in corn or vegetable oil, so they'd be vegetarian as well.

So...yeah, there are vegetarian items on the menu.

No, I don't think any vegan has to.

I personally don't eat at any fast food joints or any place that serves meat.

How about you not eat at Taco Bell. I have better things to eat than that shitstorm inducing food. Their food is about as Mexican as Donald Trumps supporters.
