When you have a car with a gear shifter on the column, where is the windshield wiper switch located?

Update:

I don't own one with this. I asked this question out of curiosity.

    Somewhere on the dashboard... column located wiper switches/arms came along much later in the grand scheme of things.

    Next time a make and model would get you a correct answer so its either on left side dash board just left of the wheel or its on the steering column on the left side

    In newer cars it's often on the turn signal lever. Older cars had it on the dash feft of the steering wheel.
