I want to enlist in the army or raf as an officer. Can I have breast implants and still be accepted?

I am a graduate university student in engineering and am planning on joining a career as an officer in the military. I used to be extremely overweight and lost all of it and now I am in a healthy range. However I am left with loose skin around my breasts and was considering getting small implants, just enough to fill the skin, but was unsure if this would be a cause for rejection.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

It will not be a automatic preclusion but as with any medical or surgical procedure it certainly could be a cause for rejection if the medical team believe it will become a problem or hinder your ability in any way.

I'm not up to date on current recruiting policy and I would advise contacting the RAF guys and discussing everything with them before going through with anything.

We do have service members with them and I even remember about 10 years ago there was a public outcry as the British Military were actually paying for some of the Female soldiers to have breast implants to apparently "boost their confidence"

If you want to be an officer then you would not Enlist. Enlistment is for Enlistedmen not officers.

    Officers are appointed.

Breast Implants would have to be examined by a Military Doctor.
