Can you solve this probability maths problem?
John hosts a game. It costs £1 to enter, and he expects 30 people to play.
There is a dice with 6 sides, and a spinner with 5. If the player gets 1's on both the dice and spinner (only one turn each), they win £2. If they get two 6's, they they get £5.
How much profit can John expect to make? (most likely)

P(two 1's) = 1/30 and P(two 6's) = 1/30
P(not two 1's nor two 6's) => 28/30
Profit for two 1's => 1 - 2 = -1
Profit for two 6's => 1 - 5 = -4
Profit for neither => 1
so, E(profit) = (-1)(1/30) + (-4)(1/30) + (1)(28/30)
i.e. £ 23/30....about 77p/go
If 30 people play E(profit) => (23/30) x 30 = £23.00
