    Alister is kind of a risky name it seems, because it's so different, but I think Allen is a boring name and I associate it with a couple of people I don't think very highly of, so I would definitely choose Alister. I like the way it sounds a lot.

    Alister for for a first, Allen for a middle.

    If these were the only two names I HD to choose from then I would pick Alister, Allen sounds far too old and boring to me.
