Hitler a far right extremist?

Republicans are taught today that anyone who disagrees with them is a 'liberal'. These days they use words like 'socialist', 'communist', 'marxist' and 'fascist' all just to mean anyone they disagree with. You can see right here on Yahoo Answers that 90% of the people who throw these words around have no idea what they mean! The fact is, Nazis were extreme right wing, not extreme left wing.

Now, some people see the political spectrum like a bell curve. Most people are close to the middle but as you move left or right from the center you get fewer and fewer people, but more and more extreme. But others see it as a circle, so if you move further and further left you eventually find yourself on the extreme right! And I think there is something to that view. Hitler and Mussolini on the far right did have some things in common with Stalin and Mao on the far left. Totalitarianism for one thing, the supreme power of the state.

But trust me, Hitler was no socialist. The Nazis were certainly not liberal.

Some people on both the left and right in the US like to compare their opponents to Hitler. I find it best just to ignore these people.

incorrect, you need to educate yourself better, there is no such a thing as fascism or dictatorships in left wing ideology and the fact that he persecuted anyone who wasn't aryan shows that he believed in racial and social hierarchy, which totally contradicts anything from the left.
