How can I control which devices can access my internet through my router?

My cousin has been staying at my house lately and using my PC to surf the internet while I use my phone. Sometimes, he ends up hogging a lot of my bandwidth which degrades my Wi-Fi s speed. Is there any way I can use my phone to disable and enable my computer s internet whenever I want?

PS : I m using a TP-Link TL-WR840N router and my pc is connected through an ethernet cable

I am guessing you already have a password on your wifi network and he has it? If changing your password doesn't stop him (like, people keep giving it to him), then, as the other answerer stated, Mac address filtering is the way to go. You can deny your cousin's MAC address access, but that won't keep him off if he switches to a different device. Another option would be to set it up so only a list of MAC addresses are authorized to connect to your network. This will keep everyone off your network that you do not specifically allow on to your network.

Yup. Enable MAC filtering. Put the PC in the deny list. Enable when needed.
