The NRA holds both major parties to ransom every election; if you resign your NRA memberships en masse you will curb their political power, finally making it possible to prevent access to weapons of war.
The founding fathers never envisaged and would be horrified that automatic assault rifles are available to ordinary citizens. Restrict them to semi-automatic, pump, or lever action, with magazines of 5 bullets, maximum.

The logical solution is to either move each human to their own planet so that can be all alone or...
cut off everyone's hands, and remove everyone's eyes and their tongues also. If people cannot see or say offensive things, and they cannot use their hands to hurt people who they may think are thinking offensive things, then there will be no more massacres...
....and the person with one hand, one eye and a tongue will rule the world.

I know what to do. My pick (yours may differ) is a Sig P320. I'm not going to be shot for a lack of shooting back. It's my responsibility to protect myself, and I'm not one of those ignorant fools who think it's the responsibility of the police or the FBI. That question was settled in case law long ago, and isn't even up for argument.
