I have had a sore throat for like 2 weeks now is this normal?

Allergies can cause a 'persistent' sore throat because of 'post nasal drip'.
Do you have any Benedryl in the house (diphenhydramine, also sold as a sleep aid). Try one of those at bedtime and see if your throat doesn't feel a lot better in the morning! If that works, well the trouble with Benedryl is that it makes you sleepy. But you can get 'non-drowsy' antihistamines over the counter (I forget the names of them. Ask the pharmacist!) I use a nasal spray called Flonase. It works like magic!

Go to the doctor. When I had a sore throat for that long I had tonsillitis. And I had a cyst on my tonsil. I needed a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy plus a removal of my cyst.
