is a marshall mg50cfx good?

see i was gonna get one of these i want this because it's not to pricy but i was wondering is it able to play bands like ffdp disturbed breaking benjamin avenged sevenfold that type stuff because thats the music i wanna play so would that be a good practice amp?

    That is a matter of opinion I guess, but many guitarist, myself included, feel the Marshall MG series is not on par with some of the other solid state amps like Fender Mustang, Peavey Vypyr and Balckstar. I love MArshall tube amps and play a JVM myself, but not a fan of the MG solid state line. I've owned a bunch of amps and i have to say that Blackstar makes the best sounding solid state modeling amp I've ever played.

    Thumbs up to Danny for his recommendation. I have that exact same amp and it is pretty awesome. Being a stereo amp it also sounds great for playing MP3s. I use it as my stereo for just listening to music or for playing backing tracks I'm jamming to. Highly recommend that ID:Core series.
