it's hard to categorize people that way, but if a person is behaving like this there may be many reasons; he doesn't own himself and his decisions at the moment, he may be throwing the blame or staying away from responsibility, He may not trust the person infront of him or not trust himself as well.

My ex-wife to start with and I'm sorry but "difficult" doesn't seem to express the effect they have on people and "bloody exserperating" doesn't seem to go far enough hopefully someone else has a better explanation without resorting to swearing which is usually the reaction most people have when confronted with a situation like this
