Can we just drop the term feminist once and for all?
The word has become so distorted and misused that it is essentially meaningless. The person that favors equality between the genders is a feminist. The angry man-hating woman is a feminist. The guy that blackens his girlfriend's eye because he wouldn't take that kind of treatment from a man either is a feminist. Can we just find more accurate terms for these things so people know what we're talking about?

I agree many distort the meaning but that doesn't mean the original meaning is not accurate - it is.

I don't care how you label yourself. Actions talk, titles walk. If you are truly about equality, it will be obvious and hopefully respected. But the hypocrites screaming equality as they continue to applaud the stripping of equality involving men only screams liar!

The feminists won't just let that go, but I think we could compromise.
The feminists keep saying they want to ban the B**** word from our language and fair enough if they find it offensive.
In exchange we should ban the F******* word too. That sounds like a reasonable strategy yes?

it's not up to you - how people want to identify
you sound like a control freak
it's a no from me
seriously - you think if you make up a new word ...the issues will go away
you think a guy punching a woman in the face is a feminist ...even a moron knows that's a load of inflammatory, childish bollocks - but, let them identify
sounds like when fro says she is a lesbian - the old piss take

Sounds like a good idea but feminists care more about their label than about what they think it's supposed to mean.

Whatever you're doing just continues the term.
