Is it okay for an 18 year old to date a 16 year old?

I'm 18 and I've been talking to a 16 year old girl for a little while now. She's really fun to be around and even though she tries not to show it, it's pretty obvious to me that she likes me. I like her too, but dating someone younger than me feels really weird. I feel really weird about it because she only just recently turned 16 and I'm going to be 19 in a couple of months so that's a 3 year age gap. Even disregarding the legality of a relationship, it just feels strange to me. Should I pursue a relationship with her or just stay friends?

of course it is ---- being with someone younger is not weird its NORMAL ----- stop obsessing over age what is important is how you feel about each other ----- dating is legal even sex may be legal ---- the age of consent in the majority of US states is 16 ----- even if she is under most of the rest have what are called "close in age" exceptions ---- assume nothing check it out for yourself ---- 3 years is nothing ---- there are marriages with 40 year gaps and yes they are both adults by any standard you want to use ---- you are already in a relationship ---- using labels does not make something real its how you feel that makes it real ---- if you are uncomfortable with the age gap to me you are not that interested ---- if you were you would not care what others think and you would have already checked for yourself what is legal or illegal
