Why do I feel like this about cursing?
I have no problem with cursing online, and in my thoughts I curse all the time. But when I'm talking to people I never curse because it doesn't feel natural to me. So why would it feel weird for me to say curse words out loud if I do it everywhere else on a daily basis?
1 AnswerPsychology5 years agoIs it weird for an 18 year old to date a 16 year old?
I'm 18 and I've been talking to a 16 year old girl for a little while now. She's really fun to be around and even though she tries not to show it, it's pretty obvious to me that she likes me. I like her too, but dating someone younger than me feels really weird. I feel really weird about it because she only just recently turned 16 and I'm going to be 19 in a couple of months so that's a 3 year age gap. Even disregarding the legality of a relationship, it just feels strange to me. Should I pursue a relationship with her or just stay friends?

1 AnswerSingles & Dating5 years agoI just had a crazy new theory about "God"?
What if "God" is really just a highly advanced alien species capable of creating life forms using technology we don't understand. This species found Earth ages ago and decided to use it as a testing facility for new life firms they came up with. Dinosaurs weren't as interesting as they'd hoped, so they destroyed them all and started over again. Most of the "miracles" in the bible are just examples of the aliens protecting humans so that the experiment can go on longer. The others are just people not understanding science and assuming it was God. The aliens completed their experiment thousands of years ago and abandoned the planet which is why society has been falling into decay. So humans weren't created by God for some higher purpose. We're just primitive idiots that have been worshipping some aliens and wasting our lives on religion when there is no heaven or hell or meaning of life.
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoHow do I choose a career?
My parents have been trying to force me to go for a computer science degree even though I'm not suited for it and have no interest in it. So I'm trying to figure out what career I could go for instead. I've narrowed it down to these options
- electrician
- Dental hygienist
- Personal trainer
- (Forensic) Psychologist
Electricians are paid very well and if you get into a union they'll take good care of you. And I really love the idea of getting paid and doing the job as you're learning about it. But the work can be dangerous and I feel like my parents won't respect a trade job. There's no way they'd be happy with me dropping out of college to do this. Dental hygienists also make good money and it doesn't seem very complex but it might not be interesting enough. I've been learning a couple of things about fitness over the past few months and I started going to the gym, so it would be fun to be a personal trainer. I'd get to learn more and figure out how to help myself and others to stay in shape. I don't really see any downsides to this besides the lack of upward mobility and the fact that my parents wouldn't see it as a respectable job. Forensic Psychology seems really cool. I've always been interested in being a detective and this job is kind of close to that without putting yourself in as much danger. The pay is good, but I really don't want to stay in school for that long. You have to get a doctorate if you want to become any type of psychologist :/
